I used Dominion / Mother Russia and spiced it up with dark electro courtesy of Frenchmen Sweet Light and Black Strobe (another favourite). As for the vocal sample, it's a deranged John Hurt from V For Vendetta.

Here's a new mash-up for you people, and it is definitely genre-clashing stuff. La Roux is really hot in the UK these days (and I certainly don't mean hot as in gorgeous LOL), so I decided to mess up with her hit single In For The Kill. For the vocal part I chose James Hetfield's growls from Metallica's Ride The Lightning. I know that this will surely piss off the metalheads but I can live with it since I never really liked Metallica, especially after their Napster stunt.

Today I finally completed my 12-month mandatory military service and I'm a FREE man again! No more swabbing the decks and peeling potatoes for me! To celebrate the event I made A Fairytale To Hide, a new mash-up that brings together two of my favourite bands, The Killers and White Lies. I used the instrumental from A Place To Hide by White Lies and a DIY a cappella of A Dustland Fairytale by The Killers.

Bynar - A Fairytale To Hide (The Killers vs. White Lies) (rapidshare)
Bynar was beamed down to planet Earth the year The Human League were formed. Growing up with the sounds of The Cure, Depeche Mode and Joy Division, he never managed to figure out whether Friends Are Electric or Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and decided to become a computer scientist, hoping to find the answer to life, universe and everything (no, it’s NOT 42!).
During his never-ending quest to get his PhD, Bynar travelled to Athens, Ediburgh, London and finally ended up in Salonica. In an ironic twist of fate he became a resident DJ at the infamous “Berlin” (i.e. the dodgiest bar in town), spinning everything from Indie Rock to Gothic, Electro and Synthpop. However, Bynar’s country did not appreciate his DJing skills and decided to draft him in the Navy, as if there weren’t enough potato peelers in this world. Unwilling to pursue a career as a swabber, Bynar resisted and kept on listening to music while on nightwatch.
Now, after a nightmarish year, he is back on the loose, ready to cause more mayhem on the dancefloors.
To prove that he never lost his hardcore, Bynar is running a music blog and a podcast, making mash-ups, writing articles for Pop+Rock magazine and hosting Indie Disco, a weekly radio show, at www.waveradio.gr (Tuesdays, 8-10 +2GMT).
